Self Doubt Category
In this group you are lacking self-belief in your ability to do anything well. Fear of mistakes will stop you moving forward but the need to help others will drive you. This puts you in the position of self-doubt. You are doing the work but never get to completion in a satisfactory way. This all stems from a belief that you are not capable, not good enough. When you look back at what went wrong in the past you look at it as your failing. What is wrong with me, rather than, what could have been done differently? Â
You can often be more motivated by what others think or expect, over what you want or expect for yourself. This means you can take on too much responsibility and feel like you are drowning under the weight of it. You always have So Much going on and SO Much to do.
Often Self Doubt is linked with people pleasing. This can encompass several fears, the fear that you will disappoint someone else, fear of not being liked, fear of being judged, fear of being “found out” (imposter syndrome). When you constantly aim to please other people you will have a hard time saying no.

Your lesson is
- You are most motivated when you have a solid weekly plan. You tend to be a big picture thinker who ends up trapped in the minutiae details. For the week ahead plan your work time and this will help you stay on track and feel more in control.
- To say no to things that only meet the needs or expectations of others. Commit to things that serve you, that nurture you, that bring you joy. You are entitled to put you first sometime!
- Take a minute to appreciate the amount of time you have when you say no to others and prioritize yourself and your work.
- Take stock of the people in your life. Are they giving you as much as you give them. It will never be totally equal but there must be some reciprocal energy back to you.
- Check, are you people pleasing? Constantly looking after the needs of others (while neglecting your own ) is a sign of people pleasing. Be mindful that you don’t end up rejected. Â
- Make a list of all your accomplishments and remind yourself daily about the things on that list!
